Caen
The ferry terminal is located just seawards of the entrance to
the Caen Canal. The ferry crossings operate three times a day
from Portsmouth to Caen.
There are excellent road links to Paris, Brittany, the Loire, the
South West, the Mediterranean and the rest of Normandy. Caen has
excellent shopping, and many attractions, including two famous
abbeys and The Museum of Peace.
St Malo
St Malo, the walled historic port which still remains to be very
busy, Brittany Ferries sailings run once a day from Portsmouth to St
Malo, day crossing time is 8 hrs 45 minutes. Within the walls is the heart of St Malo where there is
plenty of shops, hypermarkets, restaurants and bars.
The nearby sandy beaches make St Malo a great place to visit
weather you are staying or just visiting for the day.
