Ferry Crossings From Dover To Dunkerque

The ferry service operated by Norfolkline between Dover & Dunkerque operates with three "drive through" vessels which have been built since 2000, daily departures are now up to 10 from each port.

Check-in arrangements have recently been upgraded in both Dover and Dunkerque to ensure faster through-put and less hassle. At the Dunkerque Terminal they have created a lounge area with facilities for the disabled and a new shop, The Bottle Stop, has been opened offering a comprehensive stock of wines and beers at competitive prices. The shop opens 12 hours a day from 09:00, Mondays to Fridays, and from 09:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays.

Dunkerque started life in the 8th century as a simple fishing harbour. It became famous as a haven for pirates who preyed on shipping in the North Sea - the most celebrated being the local hero, Jean Bart. Today's the dunes of Dunkerque make it a seaside resort. What’s more, Norfolkline is the only ferry company sailing to Dunkerque so there is less congestion and traffic in the port. This means you’re on your way more quickly and the roads are a lot quieter.
