About The Bay at the Côte d'Argent
The Côte d'Argent ("Silver Coast") extends from the Gironde
estuary in the north to beyond Bayonne on the Spanish frontier in
the south before joining the Côte des Basques to the southwest.
The Bassin d'Arcachon is by far most interesting section of the
Côte d'Argent - the coast of seemingly endless white sandy
beach stretching from the Pointe de Grave until well beyond Arcachon.

Another of nature's marvellous spectacles may be found at the
Arcachon basin: the Dune du Pyla. Europe's largest sand dune offers
the willing climber a splendid view. Your eyes will wander over
the wide beaches of the Banc d'Arguin, over the Ile aux Oiseaux,
the dancing ships, the pine forests and the Atlantic ocean.
